Mehdi Benatia is a target for Arsenal.
The Gunners are reportedly chasing Juventus defender Mehdi Benatia and he could cost around €40million (£35.5m). Arsenal have struggled to put out a consistent back line this season and have conceded 23 goals in 19 Premier League games. Their attacking play has been dazzling at times but it is at the other end of the pitch which needs Wenger’s attention. With Per Mertesacker ageing, Benatia is seen as the perfect replacement with his experience and composure.
