Arsenal seal signing of Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos
Konstantinos Mavropanos (42) is expected to go on loan to Werder Bremen. Arsenal have completed the signing of 20-year-old Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos from PAS Giannina. The London club officially announced the transfer on Thursday, after manager Arsene Wenger confirmed on Wednesday that the deal was happening and that the centre-back would be sent out on loan. Arsenal provided no details of the contract or where Mavropanos will be sent on loan. But a source told N FC on Wednesday that the deal is worth around £2 million, and that Mavropanos is expected to spend the rest of the season with German club Werder Bremen.
