£120,000-a-week Arsenal star on brink of exit from the club
As reported by The Sun, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is on the verge of an exit from the Emirates due to his refusal to take a pay cut from his current contract at the club. What's the story? Wilshere has had a difficult road back to the Arsenal first team after injury and a season out on loan at Bournemouth but has found his way into Arsene Wenger's plans, making 27 appearances for the Gunners this term. That however hasn't convinced the club to renew his contract on similar terms to what he currently earns. That's according to The Sun, who say that the midfielder was only offered a deal which saw his current £120,000-a-week contract cut by 25%, which he has rejected. The paper say...
