Arsene Wenger optimistic Theo Walcott will extend Arsenal deal
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is delighted with how his side is finishing the current season, but warned it does not guarantee success next term. LONDON -- Arsene Wenger said he is confident Theo Walcott will sign a new contract at Arsenal and ruled out a summer exit for the England international. Walcott's current Arsenal contract is due to expire next year and, although talks are now taking place over an extension, the forward's lack of first-team football since recovering from a long-term knee injury has led to doubts over whether he will be willing to commit. Liverpool have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, but Wenger said he is optimistic a new deal will be agreed....
