Tottenham hopeful of beating rivals to signature of Southampton star
Tottenham Hotspur are still hopeful of snapping up Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin this summer according to the Daily Telegraph, with fierce North London rivals Arsenal having reportedly decided to look elsewhere for midfield recruits. Spurs failed in a bid to sign Schneiderlin last year and feared the Frenchman would head to the Gunners at the end of this season. However, Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger’s interest in Schneiderlin is believed to have cooled due to the emergence of Francis Coquelin and his desire to sign a midfielder who combines defensive and creative qualities.
