Arsenal midfield wants to end ‘dream' season on a high
Francis Coquelin has had a whirlwind season at the club, and wants to take advantage of the chance to lift his first piece of silverware since his arrival at the age of 17, The Telegraph reports. Coquelin was very much in the dead-wood bracket; players who we've been lumbered with due to their long-term contracts despite having no future at the club. The Frenchman was recalled from his loan spell at Charlton in December though, and in a matter of weeks became our most important player. We had been desperate for a specialist defensive midfielder for a number of years, and to find one right underneath our noses was sensational.
