Match report: Arsenal U-18s 4-2 Southampton
WHAT HAPPENED Our under-18s kicked off their 2020/21 season on Saturday with a 4-2 win over Southampton. Prior to this, Ken Gillard’s side hadn’t played a competitive fixture since early March - but there were no signs of rust as they delivered a complete team performance from start to finish. Latching on to a through ball from Kido Taylor-Hart, Luke Plange opened the scoring with an impressive finish from a tight angle, before Ryan Finnigan inadvertently headed the ball into his own goal from a set-piece.
