Houssem Aouar quizzed on Arsenal transfer links after 100th Lyon appearance
Houssem Aouar could still join Arsenal before the summer transfer window closes. The Lyon playmaker has failed to inspire the Champions League semi-finalists into a winning start to the new Ligue 1 season, and they sit 11th after drawing three and losing one of their opening five fixtures. The 22-year-old was the subject of an official offer from the Gunners last week, but it was rejected by club president Jean-Michel Aulas who has since stated his desire to keep the midfielder. Aouar has now been asked if the Premier League rumours have had an impact on the performances of himself and the team, to which he insisted that they have played no part in his form.
