Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deletes Gary Lineker tweet after ending goal drought
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quickly deleted a smug response to Gary Lineker on Twitter after ending his Arsenal goal drought against Southampton on Wednesday night. Aubameyang has struggled so far in the 2020/21 campaign, with his only Premier League goal from open play before the clash with Saints coming all the way back on the opening day of the season. His only other strike came from the penalty spot in their 1-0 win away at Manchester United on November 1, which has been disappointing form for a man who bagged 22 league goals in each of the last two seasons.
