Benfica Plays Down Bid For Arsenal's Joel Campbell
It has been reported that Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira has dismissed the rumours linking his club with Arsenal striker Joel Campbell. The Costa Rica international has been strongly linked with a move to the Portuguese club but comments from Vieira have poured cold water over any potential transfer for both Campbell and Anderlecht's Aleksandar Mitrovic. He told Portuguese newspaper A Bola: 'Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is not on our radar as a target for next season. 'The same can be said for the other players that are repeatedly associated with Benfica, Joel Campbell. 'I'm sure someone is very interested, but he is not in our plans.'
