Cech squad number revealed at last
New boy Petr Cech will wear the number 33 shirt as he starts his career as Arsenal's first choice keeper. The number 1 shirt will be retained by Wojciech Szczesny while David Ospina holds on to 13 pending a decision on his future. The Czech international completed his £11 million move from Chelsea this last month, penning a three-year contract that will keep him at the Emirates past his 36th birthday. On his Twitter account this evening he revealed his new number ahead of his first Arsenal appearance in Singapore next month. @PetrCech: Starting new chapter at 33 years of age with 333 games in the premier league … That's an easy choice 😄...
