Wenger discusses £40m Benzema bid
We have recently been linked with a move for Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, but Arsene Wenger insists that there is nothing behind the rumours, as reported by Sky Sports. The Sun‘s report (where the story originated from) suggests we were preparing a massive £40m bid for the 27-year-old, which arguably could have proved to be the signing of the summer. Wenger has quickly moved to quash the rumours however, branding the rumours rubbish. 'I don't know where that story has come from. But that's not happening at the moment,' Wenger said (via Sky Sports).
