Arsenal boss explains midfielder's absence following 6-0 thrashing of Lyon
Arsene Wenger has revealed that he rested Jack Wilshere for the game against Lyon and confirmed that the midfielder will start against Wolfsburg on Sunday, he told reporters post-match (via Arsenal.com). Wilshere was surprisingly not included in the squad on Saturday despite being heavily involved throughout pre-season, something which will have slightly worried fans given his injury record. This season has been earmarked as a big one for Wilshere, considering that there looms large a major international tournament at the end of the campaign.
