Wenger quizzed on Benzema, refuses to rule out ‘exceptional' signing
Rumours of a potential move for Karim Benzema have been heating up recently, and the move is looking more and more likely, according to talkSPORT. Arsene Wenger has dismissed the links as 'media talk' (via talkSPORT), but in the same interview refused to rule out a move for an exceptional player – if one were to become available. 'I never came out on Karim Benzema. It is just media talk,' Wenger said. 'At the moment we do not have [Alexis] Sanchez, not [Danny] Welbeck, and when these players come back we feel that we have the needed striking force,' Wenger said. 'But we don't rule out as well if something exceptional turns up to do it.' It's hard to see any other exceptional players...
