Arsenal Summer Market Failure Astonishing – Martin Keown
It has been reported that former Arsenal defender Martin Keown is critical of manager Arsene Wenger's market work. The Gunners only signed experienced goalkeeper Petr Cech from Premier League title rivals Chelsea. He said: 'When Arsenal signed Petr Cech early in the window it looked like they were laying the foundations to bring in two or three high quality players. 'That didn't happen and I don't think they did enough. 'They were the only team in Europe's top five leagues not to buy an outfield player and that is an astonishing statistic.'
