Mathieu Flamini: 'I proved a point'
Mathieu Flamini has revealed that he feels as if he proved a point after scoring both goals in Arsenal's 2-1 League Cup victory at North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur tonight. The midfielder, 31, marked his first appearance of the season in heroic fashion as he struck in both halves to secure a derby-day win at White Hart Lane. Flamini, who re-joined the Gunners in 2013 on a Bosman, was linked with a move away during the summer, but the Frenchman feels that his brace is just desserts for his patience.
