Wilshere undergoes ankle operation
Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere has undergone a minor procedure on his ankle. However, before we all roll our eyes to heaven and groan and the mind-numbing inevitability of it all, the operation won't keep him out for anything more than a few days apparently. It had been planned for the end of the season when doctors would have removed what Wenger referred to as ‘two buttons', but having felt discomfort which kept him out of the midweek Champions League defeat to Monaco it was brought forward. The midfielder has been out of action since November when a nasty challenge by Manchester United's Paddy McNair left him with damaged ankle ligaments. It's the latest in a series...
