I Almost Joined Real Madrid Several Times – Ex-Arsenal Captain
It has been revealed that Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has admitted he's spoken 'several times' with Real Madrid during his career. The former Arsenal and Barcelona star concedes Real have attempted to sign him on multiple occasions. 'There has been contact several times, spread over several years and with several presidents. It has never come to an agreement, of course. The Spanish international told Marca : 'There has been something, but it just did not work out. The final step is always lacking,'. 'Football goes so fast, much faster than people think. You live from day to day. You talk to a player or a coach, and the next day everything can be different.'
