Coquelin injury highlights importance of Arsenal's January transfer window
Whether it's blissful ignorance or denial, Arsene Wenger seems to be the only one who doesn't think we need a new defensive midfielder. Francis Coquelin is unquestionably a fantastic player, but we've seen by his injury against West Brom just how much we miss him (via Goal). With our injury record, how anyone can think it's satisfactory to have one player in a position is beyond us. Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini just aren't up to the task anymore, and Wenger has to stop blindly keeping faith in players that just don't deserve it.
