Aston Villa Boss Remi Garde Confirm Interest In Ex-Arsenal Defender
It has been reported that Remi Garde has confirmed he is interested in bringing Ashley Cole to Aston Villa. The former England international left-back, who is currently frozen out at AS Roma, has been linked with a possible January move to Villa Park after seeing his career stall in Italy. The season-ending knee injury sustained by Villa's summer signing Jordan Amavi has the Midlands club in need for a replacement and former Chelsea and Arsenal star Cole is in the sights of Garde according to comments made by the Frenchman on Thursday. 'He has experience but he didn't play for a while now,' said Garde. 'Every good player is interesting for me and Ashley is a good player.'
