Wolfsburg To Rival Arsenal For FC Basel Striker Breel Embolo
It has been reported that German club Wolfsburg are attempting to steal a march on their rivals in the chase for Breel Embolo. According to Calciomercato, Wolfsburg have made an £18million offer to Swiss club FC Basel in a bid to lure 18-year-old striker Embolo to the Bundesliga. Arsenal and Manchester United have already showed significant interest in the highly-rated Cameroon-born attacker but it appears as though Wolfsburg are keen to get a deal done in January by moving first for his services. Embolo, who has played seven times for Switzerland, has scored eight goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for Basel this season.
