Chelsea 'to move for Thomas Vermaelen'
Chelsea are reportedly preparing a summer move for former Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen. The 30-year-old moved from the Gunners to Barcelona for £14m in 2014 but has since been plagued with injuries, featuring just six times in the league for the Spanish champions this season. With John Terry expected to depart Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, the Blues are in the market for reinforcements to their back line and have identified Vermaelen as a target, according to Fichajes.net. The Belgian spent five years with Arsenal, contributing 13 goals in 110 Premier League appearances.
