Özil sends message to ex-Real Madrid teammate Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is 31-years-old today (5/02/16), and Mesut Özil has sent his former teammate and friend a congratulatory message via Facebook. The two players formed a deadly partnership while at the Santiago Bernabeu together, with the German playmaker responsible for assisting a large majority of the Portuguese hit man's goals. Ronaldo was more than appreciative of the World Cup winner's contributions too, and was understandably sad to see him go. It's a case of gone but not forgotten for the estranged pair though, as Özil shares a touching tribute to the former Manchester United man on social media to celebrate the day of his birth.
