REVEALED : Ex-Arsenal Midfielder Came Close To Joining Man Utd
It has been revealed that former Manchester United boss David Moyes says they were close to signing Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Moyes made an attempt to sign the former Arsenal captain when he was with Barcelona. He told Sky Sports: 'We were very close to Cesc Fabregas. 'We had spoken with him and we were thought to be very close, but unfortunately it did not happen. 'At the time, United were always in the top four and we had so many top players, I'm sure they will come back to compete at the highest levels.'
