Alexis Sanchez has posted just seven goals and two assists this season in the Premier League.
Arsenal's transfer strategy over the past three summers has been clear enough. The arrival of Mesut Ozil, then Alexis Sanchez and finally Petr Cech has showed an intent to recruit top-class talent to augment an already strong squad. For the most part, it has worked extremely well from a player standpoint; a series of solid displays have seen Cech show his worth, and Ozil is having a creative season for the ages.
