Arsenal close to snatching Liverpool-linked Bundesliga midfielder from Klopp’s grasp
Arsenal are on the verge of sealing a £35.4m summer move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka, according to reports from Bild. The Switzerland international has developed a reputation as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Bundesliga since his 2012 move to Borussia-Park from FC Basel, with his performances having already led to suggestions that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has spoken to the player’s agent about a potential switch in a few months’ time. However, reports claim that Arsenal have all but won the race for the commanding 23-year-old, with a deal close.
