Official: Arsenal announce first summer signing.
Arsenal have officially announced the signing of Granit Xhaka, in what has been this summer's worst kept secret. The club confirmed the former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder will link up with the Gunners squad after Euro 2016, with the Swiss international's contract commencing July 1 2016 (via Arsenal.com). Xhaka, 23, despite his young age brings with him a wealth of experience at club and international level, having captained Monchengladbach and amassing 41 caps for his country. The combative midfielder has linked up with his Switzerland team mates ahead of this summers European championships, but was shot in Arsenal colours over the weekend with the deal finally announced today....
