Mesut Ozil wishes injured teammate speedy recovery
Germany striker Mario Gomez suffered an injury blow tearing his hamstring during the Euro 2016 quarter-final clash against Italy. Gomez will not be able to play again in France this summer as a result of the injury according to the Guardian. The German Football Association (DFB) was quoted by the Guardian as saying: “Another appearance for the striker [Mario Gomez] in the Euros is not an option.” Arsenal star Mesut Ozil took to social media to wish his injured teammate a speedy recovery. Gomez started against Italy and played a key role in Germany's opening goal. The Besiktas striker did have two goals for his national team going into the tie but will be unable to add to his tally....
