Wenger confirms hunt for experienced defender is on
Arsene Wenger has stated his desire for ‘experience’ as he looks to bring in another defender during the summer transfer window (via Arsenal.com). Wenger was speaking ahead of Thursday’s match against the MLS All-Stars and talked of the pressing need for defensive cover. Arsenal were already suffering from the absences to Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel Paulista but the most bitter blow came with the news about Per Mertesacker.
