Alexis Sanchez: New contract 'depends on Arsenal'
Alexis Sanchez has insisted that he is "very happy" at Arsenal but has urged the club to "show confidence" in him when it comes to offering a new deal. The Chile international now has 18 months left to run on his current contract and has been locked in talks with the Gunners since the end of last season. Sanchez's reluctance to put pen to paper has led to suggestions that he could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium next year, with Arsenal reluctant to let him leave for free the following summer, but discussions over fresh terms are still thought to be ongoing.
