Report: Arsenal Willing To Let Club Captain Leave On Loan
Reports indicate that Arsenal are set to send Per Mertesacker out on loan in an attempt to prove the centre-back's fitness. The German has just six months left on his current contract and the club are eager to see the 32-year-old in action before offering him a new deal (via The Times). It's rare to see rumours of a club sending their captain out on loan but that is exactly what Arsenal are reportedly looking to do.
