Wenger challenges Diaby to prove worth
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has informed Abou Diaby he must prove he is worthy of a new contract at the club. Abou Diaby appears likely to be offered a new deal by Arsenal, providing he can prove his fitness and put together a run of games before the end of the season. Diaby's time at Arsenal has been heavily disrupted by injuries, with the midfielder featuring in just 16 Premier League matches since the start of the 2011-12 campaign. He has been limited to a solitary League Cup outing this term, having made only one substitute appearance in the previous season.
