Arsenal fans slate defender for woeful performance
Arsenal had a night to forget yesterday as their 19-game unbeaten run was drawn to a close by Southampton, who secured a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium to send the Gunners crashing out of the EFL Cup. Arsene Wenger's team selection was criticised by many on social media, who believed he wasn't taking the competition seriously, but the Frenchman had little choice at right-back but to select Carl Jenkinson, with Hector Bellerin and Mathieu Debuchy both injured.
